FAQ
Our Materials, Process and Commitment to Quality
Museum Quality Canvases
Our fine art, museum quality giclée canvases are lifetime pieces estimated to last over a century. They come in an elegant, delicately metallic finish with full-bleed, gallery wrap edges.
All of our canvases are completely free of VOCs and chemical additives, OBA-free and sealed by the Fine Art Trade Guild. We only use nontoxic, water-based inks and coatings.
Richly saturated, archival quality, pigmented inks are printed on 21mil thick, poly-cotton textured canvas. The canvas is hand-stretched over handcrafted, 1.5" deep, solid wood stretcher bars made of FSC-certified, hand-milled, kiln-dried American poplar sourced from sustainably managed forests.
We then add a nontoxic UV topcoat to protect your canvas from moisture, fading, discoloration and abrasion. All canvases come ready to hang, with all hardware pre-installed, including clear bumpers to protect your walls.
Fine Art Custom Matted Prints
Our fine art custom matted prints feature special adornments such as gold foil stamping, handmade braid, hand-laid fringe or ribbons. Each print is matted with a custom cut double mat using acid-free linen tape. Standard sized for easy framing. Backed by foam core and presented in a clear-view bag for elegance and durability.
Fine Art Prints
Our fine art giclée prints feature archival quality inks on archival, acid-free paper. Each giclée print comes in an elegant matte finish.
Display and Care
Displaying Your Canvas
Our canvases are made with museum-quality, heavy-duty, highly durable materials specifically designed to guard against environmental factors that would ordinarily damage artwork, such as sunlight exposure or moisture. Though we do recommend displaying your canvas in temperature-controlled, dry environments, our specialty inks and water- and fade-resistant surfaces allow for displaying your canvas in covered outdoor locations as well (such as on a porch or for an outdoor event).
Caring for Your Canvas
Your canvas will naturally pick up some dust or dirt over time, particularly if displayed in a heavily trafficked area. For canvases displayed indoors, use a soft, dry cloth or feather duster to gently dust the surface and sides of your piece. For canvases displayed outdoors, you can use a soft cloth lightly dampened with water to gently remove any dust or dirt that may have accumulated.
