I Know the Plans I Have for You — Jeremiah 29:11
From The Artist
2020 — the year of changed plans. Halted plans. Disappointment. And perhaps some hopelessness because the future is so unknown and foreboding.
The words originally communicated in this 2600-year-old text were sent to be a healing balm to a people that were in immense turmoil, personally and nationally. All their plans had been dashed.
God knew. God knows. God has sovereign plans. He wants us to have peace, a future, and hope. He alone can take into account all kinds of things we simply cannot control.
This piece of art was created to move us from inward focus and fear, to upward focus and hope.
About The Piece
- The gold foil stamped crown, depicting majesty and sovereignty, contains the words of one of God’s Hebrew names: El Shaddai — “God Almighty”.
- The multicolored inks emanating from the crown symbolize His intricate plans in motion for each one of us. Their Hebrew translation appears within the gold foil stamped border.
- The two gold foil stamped Hebrew words overlaying the green design at the bottom — “Tikvah” and “Shalom” — translate to “hope” and “peace”.
